Product Description

Engineered to be as comfortable and versatile as possible, the Salomon X-Wind Pro Running Shoe is predominantly a trail shoe, though can be used on harder, more abrasive urban terrain. A stretch air mesh allows air to fully permeate the shoe, whilst a dual density EVA midsole delivers superb shock absorption. Whilst serving an important purpose, traditional lacing systems can be problematic, insofar as being susceptible to snagging, tangling and loosening. However, Salomon have implemented a number of innovative solutions to these issues in order to deliver a lacing system that is more efficient and less cumbersome. Friction free lace eyelets and a QUICKLACETM system allow the wearer to tighten and loosen the shoe with a single tug, whilst an accompanying lace pocket provides easy storage for the lacing system. A SENSIFITTM system cradles the foot in place to provide a reassuringly stable fit, whilst two SENSIFLEXTM panels support natural foot expansion and forefoot flex, whilst still maintaining support. The shoe's impressive versatility is afforded by a blend of technologies, including OS Tendon and TLC systems. The former is normally found in natural running and hiking shoes and has been implemented to facilitate better rolling and a softer rebound, whilst the latter comprises two midsoles of varying thicknesses that improve transition and performance on even trails. An ORTHOLITE sockliner creates a cooler, drier, healthier, better cushioned environment under the foot.
