BEAUTY: Real Techniques Silicone Liner Brush & Kiko's Lasting Liner Gel

Brand new beauty blog post alright!! (Please read in the tune of Backstreets Back).

I am the biggest fan of eyeliner. The darker, the better. It also helps if it lasts all night too. I figured it was time to try something new so I went into one of the most inviting and beautiful shops in westfield: Kiko Cosmetics.

First of all, Kiko is beautiful. Its bright and welcoming. I could have easily spent all my pay in one go. I also bought a face mask which I may review later this month.

I needed an applicator brush, so I invested in a Real Techniques Silicon Liner Brush.

When I opened my liner I found that most of it had fallen to one side! I figured it was because it had been in my bag since lunch time.

Once I applied it to my brush I found it a lot more of a liquid/watery liner, rather than the gel I was expecting. I also used more liner than expected in order to get the line that I wanted.

It's not all bad though. This liner is very black which I LOVE. It doesn't have that shiny texture a lot of liquid liners have and it dries quicker. It looks great with false lashes, as I feel it defined my eyes more and made much more of a statement. I've been using this in the morning before work and it lasts all day (and even Halloween parties where you end the night crying into your pepperoni pizza!)

Now on to the brush. I've used two Real Technique brushes and they have both been great and this is no exception. It has no bristles so it provides a slick, smooth line. It's really good at filling in gaps which is great when you're terrible at putting on false lashes. You know that eyeliner flick that everyone seems to be able to do? This made it really easy to do!

Overall I think the brush is better than the liner. I found it too watery for the line I wanted to create. If I were to buy any gel liner it would be maybellines...that comes with an applicator too! The brush is awesome. I really like it and how easy it is to use.

What do you guys think? Have a just got a dodgy gel liner or are they all like that.
