RECIPE: Scones

Hello everyone! I hope you guys are enjoying my blogs new look!

My first proper post is about making scones. When I travelled to Bath last year I was obsessed with scones with clotted cream and jam. I've made them a couple of times so I thought I'd share it on the blog.

You will need:
 500g of plain flour
15g baking powder
10g caster sugar
100g grams of diced butter
sultanas (optional)
and a pinch of salt

1. Sieve the flour and add the baking powder, sugar and salt into a bowl

2. Add the diced butter and rub together with your fingers until it makes a crumble

3. Add enough water that the crumble becomes a dough

4. Add sultanas and kneed into the dough

5. Cool the dough by putting it into the fridge for 15mins. Put the oven on 180c

6. After 15mins take the dough out and roll into balls and slightly flatten with your hands.

7. Bake for 35mins and once that is done, allow to cool

8. Once cool eat with jam and cream!

I actually blew a fuse baking these. The fan oven isn't working at the moment in our kitchen so these were finished using the grill part *hides face*. Luckily they still came out super tasty and enjoyable!

Hope you guys like. Let me know if you try it out at all!
