Morning Puffy Face Remedies

Morning all.
Now I can't be the only one that suffers from a puffy face sometimes in the morning. It just looks awful and takes me well into the afternoon to get rid of it. Luckily, I have 5 simple ways to stop the dreaded puffball face

1. Drink water

Water really is gods gift and drinking it has several health benefits. Clearer and brighter skin are some of them. It flushes out toxins in your body and keeps you hydrated. I tend to have a glass of water before bed and I can notice the difference in the morning.

2. Wash your face with cold water in the morning. 

I can't believe I'm telling people to do that in the winter months, but I guarantee this helps as well as giving you a sharp wake up call.

3. Try a cup of herbal tea.

When I moved to my new flat with my boyfriend he didn't understand why I needed a whole cupboard for my teas. I have about 12 different varieties of herbal tea. Just like water, they cleanse and have health benefits. My favourites are fennel and peppermint.

4. Get the right amount of sleep

As adults we're supposed to get 8 hours of sleep a night, I most definitely don't. Well I blame Netflix and tumblr for my sleepless nights. Series 6 of Gossip Girl was just added!! On the otherhand, puffy morning face can also occur when you have too much sleep.

5. Less Alcohol

Yep, put that third glass of Rosé down. Alcohol causes bloating. I tend to feel really bloated in my stomach as well as in my face after a night out. If you are gonna have a night out with the girls follow my first tip and your face will be less puffy and that headache might not be so throbbing.

I know there are some beauty products that apparently stop the puffy face, but I have such sensitive skin im too scared to try. Anyone tried anything?
