October Fitness Update 2

Hey guys, sorry for lack of fitness updates, really been struggling with feeling so ill.

Being bed bound for so long is so distressing cause I love exercising., but luckily I found exercises that I can do laying down.

Crunches: Crunches are fairly simple to do. They focus on your abdominal muscles (which is here I want to tighten up!). All you have to do is lay down with your knees bent and then curl your shoulders towards your pelvis. I love this exercise, and I can really feel it working as my abs region feels alot tighter. I can always feel the burn after a crunch session.

Hula Hooping: OMG, this is my favourite exercise, although you do have to stand. It brings back memories of being in Primary School and seeing if I can keep the hula hoop up the longest. This time... Its for that awesome curve all the sexy celebrities have. To be honest, I have no technique to share. It simply is 'try and not let it drop'! After hula hooping for 15mins my stomach feels like its been through a war but they do say 'No Pain, No Gain'. At least its fun :)

Getting ready to workout!

Hey Guys!

Sorry for the lack of blogging, I've gotten a flare up of my Proximal Myopathy :( and I've been feeling so ill and down about it. BUT I am planning to spend my weekend in bed and blog for you all!

Raspberry Balmi Lip Balm and Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask

Ahhh lip balm, one of the greatest inventions. In my time I've had Vaseline, Carmex, Blistex and many more brands as my go to lip balm. But I think I may have finally found the one to stay in my bag forever.

Raspberry Balmi Lip Balm

In one word, amazing. I've heard a lot about balmi and was intrigued by its design. The original was a spherical lip balm that completely covered your lips. The design has now changed to a cute little cube and the balm is triangular. I think the shape is a fantastic idea; swipe your top lip, then bottom and done. It even comes with a little key ring so you can attach it to your keys and always have it with you.

As its getting to the Winter months this product is great. My lips stay moist for hours, I put it on at the beginning of work and didn't need to reapply til half way home! It provides SPF 15 and even UVA protection which is great in such a little parcel and for holidays in the sun.

This lip balm has provided me with such smoothness without reapplying which is due to it having vitamin E, jojoba oil and Shea butter. These are normally used in body moisturisers  in order to make skin smooth and supple, so having lips as smooth as my skin is amazing.

The raspberry flavour is also a high point. The scent AND taste isn't too overbearing and sweet, more of hint of that raspberry flavour. I actually prefer this as I don't constantly

want to taste my lip balm all day.

I'm already wondering what flavour to get next! As well as raspberry there is Coconut, strawberry and mint.

Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask

Unfortunately, I have oily skin. I got a bit tired of seeing photos on Facebook with my awful shiny forehead so I decided to change products used on my face. Boots Botanics range is great. They promote using very natural ingredients in order to achieve spa quality  outcomes. I tend to buy a bunch of stuff at Christmas for my Mum.

This mask absorbs the oil in your face and the clay has a negative charge which cleanses and removes impurities. It includes Willowbark from the Royal Botantics Garden in Kew which is proven to create a smooth texture for skin.

It dries quite quickly, and I saw little dots where I always find my skin to be really oily. My skin felt tight once it was all dry and I just washed off.

Excuse my nakyness, but here's me with a make up less, non shiny face!

I would recommend this face mask, my skin feel supple, smooth, brighter and a lot less oily!

Available at boots 6.99

What's everyone doing this weekend? I'm staying in and relaxing, I need a break after a stressful week at work. Leave comments below, I love talking to you guys

October Fitness Update 1!

Hello all!

Just a quick update on how my fitness is going :)

Changing from fizzy drinks to water has already made a change to my skin! Its looking alot clearer and brighter (apart from the fact I burnt my forehead with a curling tong).

Since I squat daily already I thought I would squat in heels to create more of a challenge...Lets just say I'm having difficulty sitting and standing. No pain - No gain.

Any one else tried Nip + Fab products? I am in love. Cannot wait to write a review on that.

Current Weight: 130 pounds

P.S Almost finished working a 30day teeth whitening regime. Check back soon for the post

October Fitness!

I cant believe it's October already! This year has really flown by.
This will be my first exercise/fitness blog post and I'm super nervous about it.

In 2010, I was diagnosed with an illness called Proximal Myopathy. The only way to treat it was to take 60mg of steroids a day. I gained 5 stone in 8 months. I have been off the steroids for 6 months now and I've lost almost 4 stone. Its been a difficult experience and has caused me to deal with depression, anxiety and insomnia. This month I plan to up my game fitness wise and show you lovely people my progress (or lack of).

I plan to try various different workouts, recipes, creams, and drinks to see what really works for me.So far this includes:

30 Day Squat Challenge
Hula Hooping
Soap and Glory's The Firminator

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I am or was overweight, I just want to be fit and healthy... and look good in a bikini.

Please excuse my dirty room! I was moving out!!!

My current weight is : 131 pounds
My height is: 5ft 8in
My BMI is: 19.92
